The bottling combines Ardbeg’s distinctive character with influences from Sicily, evoking the atmosphere of 1960s Italian cinema. The focus is on the combination of Marsala wine casks and classic ex-bourbon casks, which give the whisky a unique character.
Marsala casks are matured in various styles, ranging from dry to sweet. Ardbeg Dolce uses this influence to blend fruity and spicy elements with the typical Islay peat. The smoky foundation remains intact but is complemented by dark fruits, chocolate, and nutty accents. The result is an Ardbeg expression that combines familiar smoky notes with an unexpected sweet and Mediterranean character.

Nose: Intense smoke, apricots, raisins, and dates. Along with apple compote, orange marmalade, and subtle earthy notes.

Finish: Long and complex, with smoked applewood, tobacco, campfire embers, and lingering peat smoke.
