Description

Amrut Distilleries Private Limited is a company of the N.R. Jagdale Group, one of the oldest industrial groups in India, also known as the Silicon Valley of India.

The group was founded in 1948 by Mr Radhakrishna Jagdale, initially as a small spirit blending and bottling plant.

Amrut Whisky prides itself on being the first single malt whisky from India. Its name means “nectar of the gods/life” and reflects the exceptional quality and flavour of this whisky.

This Amrut is a single cask bottling and is matured in casks previously used to store port wine. Only the best Indian grain from the foothills of the Himalayas is used and distilled in small batches according to ancient Indian tradition in order to retain the natural flavours

The distillate is then stored in oak barrels in tropical conditions at an altitude of around 1000 metres in Bangalore.
