Jean-Robert Bellanger, founder of the Adriatico brand, has redefined Amaretto with an innovative recipe. Adriatico Amarettos are made exclusively from Filippo Cea almonds, an aromatic variety from the Italian region of Apulia. These almonds are carefully roasted, macerated and distilled. Compared to traditional amarettos, Adriatico contains less cane sugar and is enriched with a pinch of salt from Margherita di Savoia, creating a subtle link to the Adriatic Sea.
Adriatico Roasted Almonds Amaretto is produced through a careful process in which the almonds are first slowly roasted in the oven for hours. After roasting, maceration takes place, followed by distillation. These carefully coordinated steps give the Amaretto its characteristic, deep almond flavour, which sets it apart from other liqueurs.
