This new product from Berlin, Germany proves that top-notch vodka doesn’t necessarily have to come from Poland or Russia. The distillery Preussische Spirituosen Manufaktur is located in Berlin-Wedding where it has first been opened as a distillery school in 1875. It was in 2009 that the microbiologist professor Ulf Stahl and the barkeeper Gerald Schroff decided to open it up again in order to manufacture high-quality spirits. One of these is the Adler Berlin Wodka that is made of the finest wheat you will get in that area. It is distilled using a very elaborate procedure involving silver oxide and organic fruit acids. The result is a very mild and somewhat fruity vodka that can also be enjoyed neat.
