Description
1800 Tequila Reserva Reposado is a high-quality tequila made from 100% blue Weber agave, which is matured for at least six months in American oak barrels. With an alcohol content of 38% vol. and bottled in the characteristically angular 0.7-litre bottle, this reposado stands for Mexican craftsmanship, balanced aromas and traditional production.
The name 1800 refers to the year in which tequila was first produced in matured form. Even today, reposado is still carefully distilled from selected, slowly matured agaves from the highlands of Jalisco. The subsequent maturation in wood gives it soft vanilla, toffee and slightly roasted flavours that harmonise perfectly with the fresh, herbal agave notes. The result is a tequila that is smooth, complex and full-bodied – ideal for pure enjoyment or high-quality cocktails.
A tequila for anyone looking for barrel ageing, authenticity and aromatic depth in an elegant overall picture.
Tasting NoteColour: Light gold with a slight amber reflection.
Nose: Gentle and round with caramel, oak, vanilla and fresh agave.
Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of honey, spices, toasted oak and herbs.
Finish: Langs, spicy and elegant with a slightly sweet finish.
Best served neat or on ice to savour the barrel ageing and complex aromas. Also ideal for sophisticated cocktails such as a Reposado Old Fashioned or a classic Tequila Sour. It is an excellent culinary accompaniment to grilled meat, spicy tacos, smoked fish or dark chocolate. A tequila full of character with depth and flavourful sophistication.
