Dalmore distillery is located along the Cormarty Estuary in the Scottish Highlands.
Founded in 1839, this distillery started its production with 4 copper stills. Thanks to its success, it is one of the 25 largest distilleries in the world. The water used for the distillation comes from the Alness River, which flows in the area. It gives Dalmore whiskies a sweet, floral character typical of the Highlands.
Bottle
The bottle is made of smooth and slightly rounded glass and is elegantly dressed by a silver deer head. This animal was indeed the emblem of the MacKenzie clan, the historical owners of the distillery. The deer surmounts a simple and effective label in red tones, which is the color assigned by Dalmore to its 12YO.
Flavors
Aromas of citrus fruits, chocolate and aromatic spices appears on the nose, while Seville oranges and dried fruit coated with vanilla pods are blooming on the palate. The long and intense finish is supported by aromas of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Enjoy here a classic and balanced whisky!
