Already during the nosing Ardbeg Corryvreckan shows himself from a wild and exciting side. It is intensely smoky but at the same time also reveals aromas such as dark chocolate. But there’s more to it than that. There are fruity notes of currants and cherries. Brown sugar adds another hint of sweetness. The exciting nosing experience is rounded off by earthy aromas.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan owes its name to the largest marine malestorm in Europe. It is located near the place of the origin of the whisky, Islay, on the west coast of Scotland. The taste is as powerful as the water in stormy times. Pepper, espresso and seaweed dominate. But while nosing, there is much more hidden underneath than the surface reveals. Dark fruits and star anise complete the exciting taste experience. At Corryvreckan, the distillery has dispensed with an age specification.
