Nosing
The Glenrothes Select Reserve with its golden-yellow colour already seduces optically. When this is added to the glass, a fruity fragrance unfolds quickly. After a short time, other components such as plum, vanilla and even coconut can be perceived in the nose. Also a present oak note shows up in the aroma.
Taste
The taste of the Select Reserve is characteristic of Glenrothes. Citrus fruits, vanilla and a pleasant spice are classic for the distillery. Orange peels can be perceived, whose freshness combined with the sweet vanilla note provides a wonderful taste. Overall, the Glenrothes Select Reserve presents itself as a very malty single malt, which is rounded off by a strong sweetness and thus has a very pleasant, mild taste.
Finish
Glenrothes Select Reserve also shows its strong character in the finish. The finish is long, dry and once again accentuates the spices used in a light note.
Even if the Single Malt has no age information, the barrels used can still be clearly tasted. John Ramsey chose for the Select Reserve only the best that the Glenrothes distillery has to offer. These include American and Spanish oak barrels, which have clearly left their mark on the taste.

It is located in the Speyside region of Scotland and draws its water from the Ardcanny’ spring and the Brucehill’ spring. Classic for Glenrothes whiskies is a fruity, mild and sweet aroma, which the Select Reserve also clearly accentuates. The vintage releases from the distillery are particularly well known.
