The Night’s Watch whisky comes from the Oban distillery. The distillery is located below a steep cliff directly at the sea between the Scottish islands and the West Highlands. The Whisky House was built in 1794, before the surrounding town of Oban existed. With just two pot stills, the distillery is one of the smallest of its kind in Scotland.
Aroma
In the nose, Bay Reserve The Night’s Watch Whisky is quite harsh and savoury, with hay touches that merge into softer traces of cocoa and Morello cherries.
Taste
The palate is characterised by candied orange peels, dark berry cake and liquorice. Citrus fruits, cloves and roasted oak wood are added. In the aftertaste, the nuances of dark fruits such as cherries flash again.
