At the age of just 25, James Grant, also known as “The Major”, took over the Glen Grant Distillery in Rothe’s Speyside. It wasn’t long before it became clear that he was more than up to the challenge. With his skill and foresight, he managed to run the distillery with honor and bring some unique whiskies to the market. These are characterized above all by their fresh and malty taste, which can be attributed to his introduction of very slim stills. Although the distillery has changed hands many times since then, the traditional recipe from 1840 has remained the same to this day. Even today, the whiskies from the Glen Grant Distillery still impress with their unique freshness. This also applies to their latest bottling: Glen Grant Major’s Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky.

Glen Grant Major’s Reserve Scotch Malt Whisky has two special features. Firstly, it is the only Scotch whisky named after its producer and secondly, it is the mildest and lightest in the Grant Major range. With a maturation period of just 10 years, it is also the youngest whisky that Grand Major has to offer. Its maturation in oak casks gives it a delicate woody taste. Its mildness and lightness make it perfect to enjoy in mixed drinks such as whisky cola.
