Bay-Area rap legend E-40 is probably one of the biggest 40-oz malt liquor fans out there – he even took his stage name from his preference for big, strong 40ozs. Now finally, the “godfather of the hyphy movement” has his own malt liquor. Named – what else? – E-40 Malt Liquor, it is a homage to his rap and represents his home town.
E-40, aka Earl Stevens, is not only a rap veteran with a number of gold record awards, but he is also the head of an alcohol group and a true iconic in his ‘hood. Long established in the spirits biz, in addition to his own wine range Earl Stevens Selectctions and his pre-mixed Hurricane cocktail called Sluricane, he also beats the drum for his favourite rinks Landy Cognac and Carlo Rossi.
The honey-coloured E-40 Malt Liquor comes in the proper style in a 40-ounce bottle and has a hefty 10% abv. E-40 himself describes the taste as a “craft malt liquor” with a hint of honey.
