Taittinger Champagne Prestige Rosé Brut 12,5% Vol. 0,75l in gift box
£66.97
The Taittinger Champagne Prestige Rosé Brut 12.5% ABV, in a 0.75 l bottle with a gift box, is one of Champagne Taittinger’s best-known rosé champagnes and delights with its expressive colour, freshness and exceptional elegance. Producing a high-quality rosé champagne is considered particularly challenging, as it requires striking the perfect balance between fruit, structure and finesse. With the Prestige Rosé, Taittinger achieves this in impressive fashion.
The cuvée is based on a careful blend of the classic Champagne grape varieties, with a high proportion of 30% Chardonnay ensuring the house’s characteristic elegance and freshness. What makes this rosé champagne special is the addition of around 15 per cent still-fermented Pinot Noir red wine from the renowned Lager of the Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys. This traditional method not only gives the champagne its intense colour, but also its expressive fruitiness and aromatic depth. The long ageing period in the house’s cellars adds further harmony and complexity. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., this French rosé champagne is lively, elegant and versatile.
Tasting NoteIn the glass, the Taittinger Prestige Rosé Brut displays an intense, luminous rosé colour with fine perlage and a persistent head. On the nose, a fresh and expressive bouquet unfolds, with aromas of freshly crushed wild raspberries, cherries and redcurrants. On the palate, the cuvée is harmonious and well-balanced, offering a successful blend of velvety texture and fresh fruitiness. The flavours are reminiscent of crisp red berries and lend the champagne a lively and elegant structure. The finish is fresh, fruit-driven and pleasantly long-lasting.
Residual sugar: 9 g/l
The Taittinger Prestige Rosé Brut is ideal as an elegant aperitif and adds a touch of style to festive occasions. This French rosé champagne also pairs beautifully with fruity desserts such as berry gratin, fruit salad or delicate tarts. It also reveals its aromatic versatility when paired with salmon, tuna tartare or duck breast. Served at a temperature of 8–10 °C, this rosé brut champagne showcases its full freshness and elegance.
