Description
Beefeater, founded in 1820 by James Burrough in Cale Street, Chelsea, is one of the world’s most recognised brands of London Dry Gin. As the only internationally distributed gin that is still distilled entirely in London today, Beefeater represents the close connection to the British capital. The distinctive bottle shows the “Beefeater” – a traditional guardian figure of the Tower of London. Officially known as “Yeoman Warders”, these guardians symbolise the historical and cultural wealth of London and embody pride, permanence and the heritage of the city.
Inspired by a trip to the Far East, Desmond Payne, one of the world’s most renowned Master Distillers, created Beefeater 24 London Dry Gin – a meisterwerk of the art of distillation. After 18 months of intensive experimentation with teas and herbal ingredients, his expertise resulted in an extraordinary composition of twelve hand-picked botanicals. The special ingredients include grapefruit peel, Japanese Sencha and Chinese green tea, which give the gin its elegant, multi-layered flavour.
Beefeater 24 owes its name to the unique 24-hour maceration process, which gives the botanicals sufficient time to develop their full flavour potential and makes it a truly exceptional gin.
