Ampersand Distilling Company is a family-run, craft distillery idyllically situated on a five-acre farm in the Cowichan Valley. Stephen and Jeremy Schacht, a father and son duo with engineering backgrounds, utilise their extensive knowledge of science and traditional distilling techniques to produce exceptional spirits in their handcrafted distillery.

In 2007, Stephen and Ramona moved to the Cowichan Valley to start a vegetable farm. Their son Jeremy, fascinated by the technology of distillation, was looking for a way to creatively utilise his degree in process engineering. The result of these endeavours is the Ampersand Distilling Company – a new family business that successfully combines innovation and tradition.

Ampersand is all about bringing together the best of different worlds: Ingredients and techniques, science and art, tradition and innovation. The result is delicious spirits that no well-stocked bar should be without.
