Description

Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin, created in 2014 by the descendants of Indonesian Jacobus Alfons (known as Bobby) in collaboration with renowned jenever producer Herman Jansen, is based on a traditional Indonesian recipe that has been reinterpreted with modern expertise. The gin uniquely combines the rich flavours of Indonesia with the craftsmanship of Schiedam, a Dutch city known for its long tradition of spirits production.

The recipe includes a careful selection of botanicals, including cloves, coriander seeds, lemongrass, cubeb pepper, juniper, cinnamon, fennel seeds and rosehip, which provide a complex and balanced flavour profile. Each botanical is distilled individually in order to optimally preserve the characteristic flavours. The individual distillates are then blended with great care to achieve a harmonious balance of spicy, fresh and floral notes.

The use of lemongrass and cubeb pepper gives the gin an exotic freshness, while the cloves and cinnamon provide a pleasant warmth. This combination makes Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin a tribute to the cultural roots of Bobby Alfons and an innovative addition to the world of gin.
