Description
Don Julio González learnt his craft and gained experience in tequila production from his own family. At the age of 17, he founded his own distillery and began to develop a unique line of tequilas.
Don Julio Añejo is aged for at least one year in small white oak barrels. Although this maturation period may seem short at first glance, it is accelerated by the Mexican climate, which leads to an intense flavour development.
According to legislation, tequila may only be distilled from the fermented juice of the “Agave Tequiliana Weber” in certain regions of Mexico.
This traditional production method emphasises the uniqueness and importance of origin and craftsmanship in the production of this classic Mexican drink.
