The Del Maguey VIDA Mezcal Clásico 42% vol. 0.7 litre is an authentic mezcal artesanal from Oaxaca, Mexico, which is carefully handcrafted from 100% Espadín agave. It is part of Del Maguey’s VIDA range and is one of the best-known and most popular bottlings for connoisseurs and bartenders worldwide. Production follows centuries-old traditions: the agave hearts are slowly cooked in wood-fuelled earth pits, ground in a traditional Tahona stone mill, fermented in open wooden barrels and then distilled twice in copper stills.

At 42% vol., Del Maguey VIDA Clásico is a well-balanced mezcal with a typical smoky character and a subtle sweetness. It is versatile – both neat and in cocktails – and offers an excellent interplay of fruitiness, spiciness and earthy smokiness. The 0.7 l bottle bears a strikingly colourful label that reflects the brand’s cultural roots in the communities of Oaxaca.
