Description

Nuestra Soledad Mezcal Joven STGO. MATATLÁN 45% Vol. 0.7 l – an outstanding mezcal that reflects the uniqueness of the terroir of Santiago Matatlán, one of the most important mezcal regions in Mexico. The Nuestra Soledad brand is a tribute to the diversity of the Espadín agave, which is grown in six different regions and develops its own unique flavours thanks to its unique terroir. This mezcal comes from the De Cortés distillery and is produced by the experienced master distillers Valentín Cortés & Gregorio Martínez using traditional craftsmanship.

The 100% Espadín agave used for this mezcal grows in the Valles Centrales region in the state of Oaxaca. Due to the mineral-rich soils and dry climate of this region, it develops an intense flavour with complex earthy and spicy notes. The mezcal is double distilled in copper stills and roasted in earth pits using the traditional method, which gives it its characteristic smokiness.

This limited bottling comprises only 1,750 bottles, which emphasises the exclusive character of this mezcal.

Nuestra Soledad Mezcal Joven STGO. MATATLÁN is ideal for Purist enjoyment to fully experience the fine flavours and unique terroir notes. Best served slightly chilled or at room temperature. Mezcal is traditionally combined with orange slices and Sal de Gusano (Werder salt) to round off the flavour experience.

In cocktails, it provides an exciting depth of flavour – be it in the Mezcal Negroni, Oaxacan Old Fashioned or Smoky Margarita. In culinary terms, it harmonises excellently with grilled meat, spicy tacos, mature cheese or dark chocolate, which perfectly underline its earthy and mineral notes.
