The Se Busca Mezcal Artesanal Joven 40% vol. 0.7 litre is an authentic, handcrafted mezcal that captures the soul of Mexico in every bottle. The name “Se Busca”, which means “Wanted” in Spanish, symbolises the search for freedom, tradition and character – everything that distinguishes this mezcal.

Made from 100% Maguey Espadín (Agave Angustifolia), this mezcal comes from Oaxaca, probably the best-known region for mezcal production. The agave hearts, also known as “piñas”, are roasted in traditional earth pits over wood and hot stones, which gives the mezcal its typical smoky notes. After fermentation with natural yeasts, it is double distilled in copper stills to achieve a harmonious balance between smoke, fruit and spices. As a joven (young) mezcal, it is bottled without barrel ageing, so that its unadulterated agave flavour is retained. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume, it is pleasantly powerful, yet smooth and accessible.

Se Busca Mezcal Artesanal Joven is ideal for drinking neat, served at room temperature or with a slice of orange and Sal de Gusano (worm salt) to emphasise its complex flavours. It is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, spicy tacos or dark chocolate. If you want to enjoy it in cocktails, you can use it as a smoky alternative to tequila in classics such as the Smoky Margarita, an intense Mezcal Negroni or a tangy Mezcal Mule.
