Description

Amatiteña, inspired by the long tradition of agave cultivation in Amatitán since the 18th century, is produced by engineer Alberto Partida Hermosillo, a third generation master tequilero of the Partida family. The brand honours the ancestral customs of Jalisco and the agave fields by maintaining traditional methods of production.

The agave hearts are traditionally crushed using a tahona, a large stone wheel, and then cooked over an open fire to preserve the sweet flavours in the best possible way. Fermentation takes place with wild yeasts, while the subsequent distillation in copper stills preserves the characteristic flavour of the agave.

After distillation, the tequila matures for two months in oak barrels, which makes it particularly balanced and harmonious and gives its flavour profile additional depth.
