Over four generations, the company has dedicated itself to the refinement of agave cultivation and tequila production. We adhere to traditional methods and values that have been passed down from generation to generation within our family. Thus, every drop and every bottle of tequila represents the continuation of a carefully built heritage.

El Mayor anchors its tequila tradition deep in the earth. The tequila is made exclusively from high-quality Weber blue agaves that flourish in the rocky lowlands of Jalisco. These plants grow at an altitude of around 2,300 metres, where the mineral-rich sandy soil produces particularly juicy agaves, giving El Mayor Tequila a characteristic taste that reflects the regional warmth of Jalisco.

El Mayor’s Extra Añejo symbolises the art of careful ageing. It is our highest quality tequila, made from 100% agave, which is aged for at least three and a half years in American white oak barrels. This process gives it a rich and complex flavour profile that is a reward for the patient connoisseur.
