The Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potosí is an exceptionally fine bottling within Clase Azul’s high-calibre mezcal line, which is dedicated to discovering and honouring Mexican regionality and craftsmanship. This edition is a tribute to the central state of San Luis Potosí and is made exclusively from the local agave Salmiana – a rarely used type of agave known for its elegant sweetness and floral lightness.

It is produced using a slow, traditional process: The agave hearts are cooked in brick ovens, crushed in stone mills, fermented openly and then distilled twice in copper pot stills. This gentle method impressively emphasises the natural terroir and the fine characteristics of the Salmiana agave. With an alcohol content of 43% vol., this mezcal unfolds a balanced interplay of flavours that is carried by floral, herbal and mineral notes – subtle, finely nuanced and of exceptional elegance.

The presentation is in no way inferior to the contents: The ceramic bottle is carefully handcrafted by Mexican artisans and its colour scheme and symbolism are inspired by the cultural heritage of San Luis Potosí. Packaged in a luxurious gift box, it emphasises the high standards of this rare distillate.
