Description
The Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825 and is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland. Glencadam uses traditional methods and copper stills to produce its whisky. As a rule, the whiskies produced are unpeated so that the natural flavours of the malt can develop.
The Glencadam Reserva de Jerez was brought onto the market by the Glencadam Distillery in a limited edition. This whiskey was specially created by Mater Distiller Robert Fleming and consists of selected whiskeys from 2007. Maturation begins in American ex-bourbon oak casks and is then completed in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. The whisky matures for a total of 15 years before it is finally bottled and offered for sale. Glencadam Reserva de Jerez is the latest in a series of limited edition cask bottlings from Glencadam.
The limited edition is restricted to 9,420 bottles.
Tasting Note
Colour: Amber.
Nose: Rich notes of pralines, roasted nuts, candied peel.
Flavour: Sweet, milk chocolate, maple pecan biscuits, nutmeg.
Finish: Langs, apple strudel, espresso, sweet spices.
