Description
The Willett distillery, which reopened its doors in 1997, has been dedicated to the distillation of traditional straight Kentucky bourbon whiskey ever since. A high proportion of rye and barley in the mash creates an outstanding flavour and a full texture. This whiskey is complemented by mild and gentle notes of cedar wood and cinnamon, which give it a smooth body. Fresh accents of mint and fennel enliven the composition, while a surprising hint of coconut adds a pleasant note.
In keeping with ancient tradition, this bourbon is distilled in a rare combination of beer still and pot still, which makes it a speciality. This traditional method helps to shape the characteristic, rich flavour that makes Willett bourbons so special.
