Inspired by the historic Blackpitts area, just behind the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery site in the heart of Dublin, Teeling Whiskey Blackpitts Peated is born. This area, known for its maltings and malted barley houses both in the past and today, plays a central role in the history and production of this unique whiskey.
The use of peat smoke to dry the barley gives this whiskey its unmistakable barbecue smoke flavours that set it apart from others. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks as well as ex-Sauternes white wine casks.
