Description
Laphroaig Lore is an exceptional single malt whisky from the Scottish island of Islay that reflects the distillery’s rich history in every sip. Named after the Gaelic word for “lore”, this whisky combines the knowledge and craftsmanship of several generations of master blenders. Its multi-layered flavour is the result of maturation in five different types of cask, which create a harmonious balance between peat smoke, sweetness and spice.
The use of 19th century quarter casks gives the Laphroaig Lore a velvety texture and intense depth. Oloroso sherry butts give it a fruity sweetness, while ex-bourbon casks contribute a fine vanilla note. The combination of whiskies aged between seven and 21 years creates an impressive complexity – from strong and smoky to elegant and smooth. The result is a multi-layered Islay whisky that combines the typical peatiness of Laphroaig with a rich flavour structure.

Tasting NoteColour: Deep amber with golden reflections.
Nose: Intense peat smoke, accompanied by dark chocolate, dried fruit and spicy oak notes.
Flavour: Strong smoke with a fine balance of sweet caramel, ripe sultanas, maritime notes and a hint of roasted nuts.
Finish: Langs and intense with lingering smoke, subtle spice and a gentle sherry sweetness.
It unfolds its full flavour best neat or with a few drops of water to emphasise the different nuances even more. This single malt harmonises particularly well with strong cheeses such as Roquefort or Cheddar as well as dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.
