Amidst the wild beauty of Islay, the rough seas and the winds of the Hebrides, Bowmore has been handcrafted since 1779.
In the legendary “No. 1 Vault”, the old stone vault on the edge of Loch Indaal, the magical character of Islay and centuries-old traditions come together to create a single malt whisky with complex balance, mild Islay smokiness, maritime minerality and an abundance of fresh stone fruit flavours.
Bowmore FIFTEEN YEARS OLD is an Islay single malt that is a perfect example of a sherry cask finish.
Initially matured in bourbon casks, the last three years are spent in Oloroso sherry casks, which give this Scotch whisky its deep colour and robust, warming finish.

Tasting NoteColour: Dark mahogany with reddish reflections.
Nose: Dried fruit, dark chocolate, sherry sweetness, fine peat notes and a hint of sea salt.
Flavour: Full-bodied, velvety, with intense sherry notes, sultanas, spicy oak, caramel and a subtle hint of smoke.
Finish: Langs, warming, with lingering sherry, gentle oak spice and elegant peat smoke.
The Bowmore 15 Years Old unfolds its full flavour best neat or with a few drops of water. It harmonises perfectly with dark chocolate, candied nuts or mature cheese such as Manchego or a strong blue cheese. Its spicy depth also comes into its own in combination with grilled meat or savoury game dishes.
