The Ileach Peated Islay Malt is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky that is characterised by its powerful peat smoke notes and authentic maritime character. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it offers the classic profile of a typical smoky Islay whisky and appeals to both lovers of intense flavours and explorers of this special whisky category.
The name “Ileach”, which means “inhabitant of the island of Islay” in Gaelic, already hints at the close connection to the famous whisky island. Although the exact distillery remains a well-kept secret, this whisky reflects the best that Islay has to offer: Peat, sea air and complex flavour. Matured in traditional oak casks, it develops a balanced combination of smoke, sweetness and spicy notes.
