Arran MACHRIE MOOR 10 Years Old Peated Lochranza Malt 46% Vol. 0,7l in Tinbox
£69.29
Description
The mysterious Machrie Moor on the west coast of the Isle of Arran has been characterised by numerous stone circles since the Bronze Age. One of these stone circles, “Fingal’s Cauldron Seat”, carries a legend: The legendary warrior and giant Fingal is said to have tied his dog Brat to this stone. For this reason, Brat’s likeness adorns the bottle of this special whisky.
The Machrie Moor single malt combines the classic fresh character of an Arran Whisky with a hint of peat smoke, which is produced in the sister distillery Lochranza. After maturing for ten years in first fill bourbon casks, the whisky is bottled without chill filtration and without colouring. With a strong peat content of 20 ppm at cask strength, this single malt retains the typical freshness of the Arran house style and complements it with subtle notes of smoke and earthiness.
