Jameson Black Barrel is the new interpretation of the popular Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel and impresses with even more intense flavours and an exceptionally smooth structure. The blend is made up of carefully selected small batch grain whiskeys and single Irish pot still whiskeys. What makes this whiskey particularly unique is its maturation in a mixture of American sherry casks and double burnt oak casks.
Burning out the oak barrels both before and after the bourbon ageing provides the typical strong notes that give the whiskey a special depth. This “black barrel” technique brings out aromas of caramel, toffee, vanilla and roasted spices, which are created by the caramelised residues in the wood.
Jameson Whiskey Black Barrel is rich, full-bodied and at the same time velvety smooth – perfect for connoisseurs who appreciate an intense whiskey.
