The Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 90th Anniversary is a strictly limited special bottling that was created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Nikka Whisky Distilling Co. With an alcohol content of 45% vol. and bottled in an elegant 0.7-litre bottle with an elegant gift box (UK), this whisky pays tribute to the long history and innovative strength of the traditional Japanese company.
It is particularly noteworthy that this whisky – like all Coffey bottlings – is not distilled in classic pot stills, but in the rare Coffey stills that Nikka originally imported from Scotland. Although it is considered a malt whisky, it is made exclusively from malted barley and distilled in the Coffey stills, which gives it an unmistakably creamy, round and complex profile. With this Anniversary Edition, Nikka emphasises its craftsmanship, the combination of Japanese precision and Scottish tradition and the courage to break new ground in whisky production.
