This whiskey is part of the Hyde Heritage Cask Series and has been perfectly balanced with an alcohol content of 43% vol. Hyde No.8 was distilled from a blend of malted and unmalted barley and first matured in bourbon barrels. For the final touch and additional depth, it was further matured in stout casks made from Irish beer casks. This stout cask finish gives the whiskey a remarkable dark fruitiness and browned caramel notes that come from the dark beer flavours of the cask.
