The HWAYO X. Premium Single Grain Whisky is an exciting discovery from South Korea that combines the traditional Asian art of distilling with modern whisky philosophy. This premium whisky is produced by the Hwayo Distillery, which is originally known for its high-quality soju and is now also dedicated to whisky production with great care and craftsmanship. The HWAYO X. bottling stands for elegance, purity and a balanced style that appeals to both beginners and experienced connoisseurs.
It is a single grain whisky made from a grain base (predominantly rice) and matured in oak barrels. The climatic conditions in Korea ensure intensive barrel maturation, while the distillery preserves a soft, clear flavour with great precision. With an alcohol content of 41% vol., HWAYO X. is pleasantly accessible, yet finely structured and surprisingly complex.

Nose: Gentle and floral with notes of vanilla, light-coloured fruit, some citrus, honey and a hint of toasted wood.
Flavour: Soft, round and mild with aromas of malt sugar, rice, creamy caramel, oak and subtle spice.
Finish: Medium length, gently spicy and pleasantly sweet with a hint of nuttiness.
The HWAYO X. is ideal on its own or slightly chilled in a tumbler or nosing glass. It also cuts an excellent figure as a fine base for elegant highballs with soda or as a twist in an Asian-inspired whisky sour. In combination with Japanese or Korean cuisine, sashimi, tempura or mild cheese, it creates harmonious moments of pleasure.
