Description

The first Loch Lomond Distillery site was established at the northern end of Loch Lomond near Tarbet in 1814. The current distillery was founded in 1965 by the former owners of the Littlemill Distillery a few miles from Glasgow.

Master blender Michael Henry is in charge of the distillery. Michael grew up next to two distilleries and developed a passion for distilling and brewing whisky at an early age. He has been the Master Blender at Loch Lomond Distillery since 2014.

The Loch Lomond Distillery has entered into a partnership with “The Open”. “The Open” is the most important international golf championship with qualifying events on five continents, also known as “The One”.

This bottling is a tribute to the championship, which is being held for the 150th time. The championship is held on the world-famous “Home of Gold”, the Old Course in St Andrews.

The whisky is produced by Master Distiller Michael Henry. The whisky is matured in American oak barrels before being finished in Bordeaux red wine barriques.
