Aerolite Lyndsay is an independent bottling of a single malt from the renowned island of Islay, known for its intensely smoky whiskies. This bottling represents the classic Islay tradition of peated malts smoked over peat fires, which are enjoyed worldwide. Contrary to expectations, there is no mystical legend behind the name “Lyndsay”, but rather a creative play on words: “Lyndsay” is an anagram for “ten year old Islay”, which refers to the age of this whisky.
The true stories, as is often said, come from sharing a good whisky with friends, not from old myths. Aerolite Lyndsay epitomises this philosophy by spinning a new narrative without the burden of traditional legends. Matured in bourbon casks as well as a proportion of sherry quarter casks, this whisky offers a rich flavour experience with an alcohol strength of 46%.
