Description
The Dingle Distillery is located in the picturesque coastal town of Dingle on the Dingle Peninsula in the south-west of Ireland. The distillery was founded in 2012 by the three visionary entrepreneurs Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart and Peter Mosley, who are part of the “Irish Whiskey Renaissance” movement. The distillery is one of the first independent distilleries to be established in Ireland for centuries and specialises in the production of handcrafted premium whiskeys.
Dingle CÓNOCHT AN FÓMHAIR Single Malt Irish Whiskey Triple Distilled is the eighth edition of the popular “Wheel of the Year” series, which is dedicated to traditional Celtic festivals. This limited edition bottling honours the festival of Cónocht an Fómhair, which marks the autumnal equinox. At this time, the vibrant colours of summer fade and give way to soft shades of red, amber and gold – precisely these colours are also reflected in the character of this whiskey.
The whiskey is first matured in bourbon casks before being given a special finish in rum casks, which gives it its special flavours.
