Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2023 50% Vol. 0,7l in gift box
£125.98
Description
The Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2023 is an expressive limited edition from the independent farm distillery Kilchoman Distillery and is clearly aimed at lovers of intensely peated and sherry-accentuated Islay whiskies. This bottling was bottled in 2023 with a strong peat content of 50 ppm, with the phenol content in the malt defining the distinctive smoky structure of the whisky. Maturation took place exclusively in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for around five years, giving the distillate a particularly dense, dark and deeply structured cask character.
Bottled at 50% vol., not chill-filtered and without colouring agents, this PX Sherry Cask Matured retains its full texture as well as all the aromatic oils and esters. The intense colour is exclusively due to the influence of the PX casks. With a strictly limited edition of 23,000 bottles worldwide, this edition occupies a special place in the Kilchoman portfolio and combines the distillery’s maritime, smoky house style with the lush sweetness and depth of Pedro Ximénez sherry. This bottling is equally suitable for experienced Islay enthusiasts and collectors of sherry cask whiskies with a strong character.
