The Douglas Laing Timorous Beastie 18 Years Old is a limited bottling from the well-known Remarkable Regional Malts series from Douglas Laing & Co., one of Scotland’s leading independent bottlers. This exceptional blended malt Scotch whisky consists exclusively of the finest single malts from the Scottish Highlands, matured for at least 18 years, bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colouring agents.
The name Timorous Beastie is inspired by the famous line of poetry by Scottish poet Robert Burns, in which he describes a small Mauser that is remarkably lively despite its fear – a symbol of the powerful yet elegant nature of this whisky. With an alcohol content of 46.8 % vol., it develops an impressive balance between honey-sweet softness and spicy, woody Highland notes.

Nose: Sweet and malty with notes of honey, vanilla, ripe apples and citrus fruits.
Taste: Full-bodied and velvety with flavours of caramel, roasted almonds, cinnamon, oak and a hint of heather.
