This blend is bottled at an alcohol content of 40% vol. and offers an ideal balance of complexity and smoothness that is attractive to both beginners and experienced whisky lovers.
The John Barr Reserve is characterised by its balanced structure, with a smooth, malty character and a hint of fruity and spicy flavours that blend with light oak and caramel. The whisky is matured in selected oak casks, which gives it additional depth and complexity.
With a 1-litre bottle, the John Barr Reserve is ideal for pure enjoyment, on ice or as a base for cocktails such as the classic Whiskey Sour or a Scotch & Soda.
