The Clonakilty Distillery was founded in 2017 and is located in the picturesque town of Clonakilty on the south coast of Ireland. Clonakilty Small Batch Double Oak is a whisky that elegantly showcases the diversity of cask ageing. Firstly, the whisky is matured in fresh oak barrels, which give it a clear wood flavour. It is then finished in a processed Bordeaux red wine cask, which adds extra complexity and a hint of fruitiness.
