Clonakilty GALLEY HEAD Single Malt Irish Whiskey comes from the innovative Clonakilty Distillery on the rugged Atlantic coast in the south of Ireland. Named after the striking Galley Head lighthouse on the West Cork coast, this single malt Irish Whiskey reflects the maritime character of its origins. The distillery is known for its combination of traditional Irish whiskey production and modern cask maturation, resulting in particularly balanced and flavoursome bottlings.
Only malted barley is used for this Irish single malt whiskey. After distillation, the whiskey is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels before a finish in selected wine barrels lends additional complexity and aromatic depth. The storage close to the Atlantic coast ensures a special maturing climate, which gives the Clonakilty Single Malt Irish Whiskey its characteristic style with fruity and spicy nuances. At 40 % vol., this West Cork Irish Whiskey is soft, round and elegant.
