Description
The Penderyn MYTH single malt Welsh whisky is part of the newly launched Penderyn Dragon range, which has characterised the modern expression of Welsh whisky tradition since 2015. This bottling is non-chill-filtered, non-coloured and matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and rejuvenated oak casks. In these casks, the wood on the inside is sanded down and recarbonised, allowing the cask to become active again and release fresh flavours into the whisky. The new, lighter bottle and redesigned gift box make the Dragon range stand out visually while improving its environmental sustainability.
Thanks to the special Penderyn distillation method, a particularly pure, aromatically clear distillate is produced. The MYTH is correspondingly light, fruity and easily accessible without lacking structure. The symbolism of the red dragon, which stands for Wales and is deeply rooted in the country’s history, accompanies this edition and emphasises its cultural background.

This Welsh single malt is ideal with light dishes such as fresh cheese, mild poultry or smoked fish, as its fruity freshness elegantly accompanies these flavours. It also harmonises with citrus desserts, light tarts or apple pastries, which delicately absorb its lively fruity notes. In drinks such as a whisky highball or a light sour, it reveals its clear, accessible structure. Pure at room temperature, MYTH reveals its fresh and fruity nuances most clearly and leaves a long-lasting, bright flavour.
