The Wolfburn VIBRANT STILLS 10 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Butts 57.8% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a limited edition meisterwerk of Scottish distillation art that impressively reflects the uncompromising craftsmanship of the Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, Caithness. Only 1,302 bottles of this exceptional single malt were bottled – matured in two selected Oloroso sherry butts (Casks #116 & #264), which give it its unmistakable depth and richness. Ten years of maturation in the harsh, salty coastal air of the north have allowed this whisky to mature into a full-bodied and sumptuous character that combines maritime freshness with sweet sherry notes in perfect balance.
Bottled in natural colour, non-chill-filtered and at cask strength with 57.8 percent alcohol by volume, the whisky is at its purest. Wolfburn Vibrant Stills #8 stands for patience, precision and the passion of a distillery that stands for traditional craftsmanship and authentic flavours. The Wolfburn 10 Years Old Vibrant Stills Oloroso Sherry Butts goes perfectly with dark chocolate, figs, dried dates or nut desserts, which complement its rich sherry sweetness wonderfully. It also harmonises with wild poultry, fillet of beef in a red wine sauce or mature hard cheese, where its spicy complexity comes into its own.
