Description

The Signatory Vintage ABERLOUR 12 Years Old 2013/2025 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt Finish Cask #6 is an exceptionally dense and luxurious single cask bottling from the Scottish Speyside, which reflects the distillery’s sherry-influenced house style in concentrated form. Bottled by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage, this Speyside single malt Scotch whisky comes from the traditional Aberlour Distillery. It was distilled on 13 June 2013 and bottled on 8 September 2025 after 12 years of maturation. Aberlour’s house style has always been known for its intense sherry flavour, which has been further enhanced here by a finish in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt.

In combination with the fresh Oloroso cask, the result is an exceptionally rich, sweet and deeply structured Speyside experience that raises the malty, fruity character of the distillery to a new level of intensity. The bottling comes from cask no. 6 (part), from which only 394 bottles were produced. This Aberlour was bottled at 55.5% vol. in cask strength, not chill-filtered and not coloured, which means that the texture, cask strength and aroma density are fully preserved. Independently bottled Aberlour single casks with this character are rare and have clear collector’s and connoisseur value.

Tasting NoteColour: Deep gold to dark copper, with a dense, oily appearance.

Nose: Intense Oloroso sherry sweetness, sultanas, prunes, dark berries, chocolate, spices and fine oak spice.

Flavour: Full-bodied and luxurious, with sweet sherry fruit, malty depth, ripe berries, spicy oak and a creamy texture.

Finish: Langs, warming and complex, with dark fruit, sherry sweetness, spice and elegant dryness.

The Signatory Vintage Aberlour 12 Years Old 2013/2025 is ideal for pure enjoyment and benefits from a little time in the glass or a few drops of water to further open up the aromatic density. This sherry cask matured Speyside single cask whisky is particularly harmonious with dark chocolate, desserts with dried fruit or strong hard cheese, where the luxurious sweetness and creamy structure are harmoniously integrated. As a rare cask strength single cask bottling, this Aberlour offers a long-lasting, intense and exceptionally elegant enjoyment experience.
