The Widow Jane Rye Apple Wood Aged 46.5% vol. 0.7 l is an innovative straight rye whiskey from Brooklyn, New York, which stands out from classic rye flavours thanks to its special ageing process. It is made from a high proportion of rye, which provides the typical flavour. After distillation, this whiskey not only matures in traditional barrels, but is also refined with apple wood chips. This refinement gives it a unique flavour, in which the strong spiciness of the rye meets a gentle, fruity sweetness and subtle wood notes.
With an alcohol content of 46.5% vol., Widow Jane Rye Apple Wood Aged is strong, complex and at the same time pleasantly accessible. Widow Jane Distillery is known for its experimental barrel ageing and also uses mineral-rich water from the limestone wells of Rosendale, New York for its whiskeys – another factor that underlines the authenticity and quality.
