This bottling was conceived as a tribute to founder George Smith and epitomises the classic, elegant style of the Speyside region. The focus is on a particularly balanced selection of casks, whereby American oak casks are predominantly used, which give the whisky its characteristic mildness and fruitiness.
Bottled at 40% and in a handy 0.05-litre miniature bottle, this variant is ideal for getting to know the whisky or for tastings. Maturation in selected American oak casks ensures a creamy texture and a harmonious balance between fruit, vanilla and subtle sweetness. The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve deliberately does not state its age, but places great value on cask quality and stylistic fidelity to the original distillery philosophy.
