St. Kilian Kiliani Edition HEDAN Single Malt Whisky 46% Vol. 0,5l in gift box

Description
The St. Kilian Kiliani Edition HEDAN is a special tribute to the distillery’s namesake – the Irish missionary St. Kilian, who came to Franconia in the 7th century. This exclusive special edition was created on the occasion of the Kiliani folk festival in Würzburg and combines the craftsmanship of St. Kilian Distillers with regional tradition and modern whisky art.
The HEDAN whisky is produced in the Lower Franconian village of Rüdenau – made entirely from 100% malted barley and double-distilled in original Scottish copper stills. Maturation took place in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and French oak casks, giving this whisky a pleasant balance of sweetness, wood and spice. Bottled at 46% vol., it is neither chill-filtered nor coloured – an honest, German single malt that combines quality and character.
Tasting NoteColour: Light gold with warm reflections.
Nose: Fruity and balanced with aromas of ripe apple, vanilla, honey and a hint of toasted wood.
Flavour: Round and smooth with notes of light caramel, biscuit, oak, spices and subtle fruit sweetness.
Finish: Medium-long, pleasantly dry with a warm, slightly spicy oak note.
The Kiliani Edition HEDAN is ideal for pure enjoyment, even with a drop of water to open up the flavour spectrum. The whisky goes perfectly with regional specialities such as mild mountain cheese, lye pastries or Franconian bratwurst. It also shows its finely balanced profile as an accompaniment to a light-coloured apple strudel or caramel dessert. A bottling full of character but approachable – typically St. Kilian, typically Franconian.
