The Ardlair 10 Years Old The Untamed Grace Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the traditional Ardmore Distillery in the Scottish Highlands and presents itself as a single malt full of character that reflects the rustic elegance of its origins in every facet. This exceptional bottling first matured in classic hogsheads before receiving an intensive finish in a first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. This combination creates a complex interplay of flavours that combines sweetness, spice and depth in perfect balance.
With a cask strength of 56.5% vol., the Ardlair 10 Years Old shows its full expressiveness and naturalness. Like all bottlings in The Whisky Heroes series from Brave New Spirits, it has not been chill-filtered or coloured, which ensures that its authentic character is fully preserved. It has an intense mahogany colour that reflects the depth of its sherry finish.
As a single cask release, this Highland malt is limited to just 211 bottles worldwide – a rarity that will delight lovers of intense, full-bodied whiskies. The flavour is characterised by rich dried fruit, dark chocolate and a hint of orange zest, accompanied by fine wood and spice notes. The long finish with Langs of Christmas biscuits, cloves and espresso makes it a sensual and lasting pleasure experience.
