Description

The Kilchoman ROCKSIDE 11 Years Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46% vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exceptional 100% Islay whisky bottling that impressively embodies the unique philosophy of the Kilchoman Distillery. As one of the few distilleries in Scotland, Kilchoman controls the entire production process, from growing the barley to bottling, on the island of Islay. The Rockside 11 Years Old was produced from barley grown over a decade ago at the distillery’s own Rockside Farm. After harvesting, the barley was malted, peated, distilled, matured and finally bottled on site. This bottling thus embodies the authentic concept of a genuine farm-to-bottle single malt Scotch whisky.

The whisky was matured for 11 years in a carefully selected combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, resulting in a harmonious blend of fruitiness, sweetness and gentle smokiness. Compared to many Islay whiskies, the Kilchoman Rockside 11 Years Old is only lightly peated and impresses with its elegant balance. Bottled at 46% ABV, with its natural colour and without chill filtration, this Islay single malt whisky retains its full character and natural texture. The high-quality gift box further emphasises the exclusive nature of this limited-edition Kilchoman bottling.

Tasting NoteColour: Golden yellow with warm amber highlights.
