The historic Tamdhu Distillery, founded in 1897 on the banks of the River Spey, is renowned for its uncompromising focus on maturation in Oloroso sherry casks made from European and American oak. For this 12-year-old single malt, only carefully selected first-fill and refill Oloroso sherry casks are used, lending the whisky its exceptional depth and elegance. The distillery does not use bourbon casks for maturation, relying entirely on the influence of high-quality sherry casks. The whisky is bottled at 43%, has a natural colour and is produced without chill filtration.
